Now thinking of incorporating mirrors so the person standing in the landscape is actually the mirror reflection rather than the actual person. Also thinking about layering images together.

Experimenting with laying photos on top of each other. I’m happy with the look of the first one. I really like the colours.

The second idea could be done better but I hope to continue with this for my project so hopefully I’ll get it looking right.

I went to Somerset House the other week to see exhibitions. I love Somerset House as it’s a wonderful location and there’s always so much going on there!

Tim Walker Exhibition

I went to see the Tim Walker Exhibition. It was fantastic to see the work and especially with the set up including lots of his props. Some as big as the room itself and others in cabinets and displayed around the room. So much to look at! The exhibition did really well to put us in Tim Walkers dream like world. You follow text around corner of the walls and through doorways. Some of the rooms are so full with props they give us an insight to the scale of a Tim Walker set.

To my suprise one of my favourite photos turned out to be this one simply because I had never seen it before:

I thought the idea suited the Monty Python lot so well. What a fantastic idea!

Henri Cartier- Bresson Exhibition

This exhibition featured Cartier- Bressons work as well as other photographers who have taken influence from his work. My favourites were the classic photographers such as Cartier- Bresson and Saul Leiter. I enjoyed seeing the different eras and times depicted in the photographs.

A photo from a photography workshop with Colin who I modelled for last week.

It consisted of high key and low hey studio lighting. Then we went on location. The building made a great location with unusual architecture and nice lighting.

I wore my new Union Jack body which I hope to wear for more shoots.

Damien Hirst Exhibition at The Tate Modern

I am not that much of a fan of Hirst’s work however I enjoyed the exhibition. My main interest was the butterfly room which consisted of the life cyle of butterflies which freely fluttered around the room. All though part of me thinks he has only taken nature and placed it inside a room so does it take an artist to do this? (which of course you could say about many pieces of art) I did enjoy walking through a room with life. Butterflies would land on people. There were no boundaries between the art and the viewers. It was perhaps one of his more romantic representations of life and death.

When viewing The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living I got the feelings that Hirst wished the viewer to experience. I have never seen a real shark to that scale and standing before its open jaws felt unnerving. I imagined the power it must have when alive.

Model and Local Studio

Model and Local Studio- Surrey

2 hours £90 includes modelling fee plus studio hire.

Studio hire is £25 per hour therefore that means my modelling rates are only £20 per hour. Fashion shoots only.

Cottage Studio Space:

Farnham, Surrey near Guildford. About 45- 60 minutes from London.

They have studio lighting available for use. Soft boxes, beauty dish etc. Beautiful windows and window seats for natural light as well plus a lovely garden.
