What to do when you create bad art? Put a sarcastic digital coffee table book together of course :)
This is reblogged and is the work of intensepuppy.
He kindly donated some money towards my photography final major project.

I love everything about it. I think it really works and the presentation is stunning. I would like this as a real book to have on my photography book table!

Jade Lyon the Photographer
I thought I had moved away from the idea of layering photos together and decided to go with the reflection/ mirror idea but I quite like this :/ uh oh
Jade as photographer.
Testing for my current project based around a persons connection with their chosen landscape.
Digital Tests- not composed as the film shots will be the final images.
Jade as photographer- all though this is actually me in the photo.
Digital test shot for current project.
Now thinking of incorporating mirrors so the person standing in the landscape is actually the mirror reflection rather than the actual person. Also thinking about layering images together.
Jade as the model.
So happy with this shoot :) One of my favourite shoots recently :)
Much more of this shoot to come.
Shot at my home and outside my home. The styling is my own. I now own crimpers as well! As I love the crimped hair look!

Experimenting with laying photos on top of each other. I’m happy with the look of the first one. I really like the colours.
The second idea could be done better but I hope to continue with this for my project so hopefully I’ll get it looking right.
My Photography
An old photo from my project One For Sorrow exploring the ideas of Magpie Superstition.
I went to Somerset House the other week to see exhibitions. I love Somerset House as it’s a wonderful location and there’s always so much going on there!
Tim Walker Exhibition
I went to see the Tim Walker Exhibition. It was fantastic to see the work and especially with the set up including lots of his props. Some as big as the room itself and others in cabinets and displayed around the room. So much to look at! The exhibition did really well to put us in Tim Walkers dream like world. You follow text around corner of the walls and through doorways. Some of the rooms are so full with props they give us an insight to the scale of a Tim Walker set.
To my suprise one of my favourite photos turned out to be this one simply because I had never seen it before:

I thought the idea suited the Monty Python lot so well. What a fantastic idea!
You can see and read a little more about it here:

Henri Cartier- Bresson Exhibition
This exhibition featured Cartier- Bressons work as well as other photographers who have taken influence from his work. My favourites were the classic photographers such as Cartier- Bresson and Saul Leiter. I enjoyed seeing the different eras and times depicted in the photographs.
Next Exhibition to see: Valentino!
